African Queen build

Hi:
I purchased the African Queen Made by Midwest a while back.
I have never built anything like this before.
Is this a difficult build? The biggest boat I have built was the swamp buggy “The Wendy”.
How does the African queen compare to the swamp buggy?
I built the swamp buggy 24 years ago.
If I decide not to attempt to build it can anyone recommend an easier build?
If I decide not to build it, any ideal what it is worth. The box has not been opened.
Thank you,
Terryt

    FYI
All the Midwest models will be brought back through Model Expo. Check them out on line.
They already have a few easy to build kits in production.
The Harbour Tug is in the drawing board.
This is me applying their Shop sign.

Indeed you have a rare gem
    in your hands.
I have seen the African Queen on Ebay only once in a wile and when I did, it was running for more than $200.00.
If I were you I will put it up for bids starting at $250.00.
All of the larger Midwest models are selling pretty high.
    Here are a few samples.

African Queen Update

Hi:
Update on the African Queen.
It is a Billings Model not a Midwest product as I thought. Also it does not have the steam engine with it.
It was a project that I brought about 20 years ago and never got around to building it.
The model is missing pieces and has some broken parts.
I gave it to a froend who is younger and is very good at projects of this nature.
Thanks for all of the advice.

Thank you,
Terryt

    Ahoy there!
I built the Billings kit last year, the kit is nothing like the one in the film if you build it as per the pic on the box.Best getting the film on dvd and keep pausing the film and take pictures. Then build it as you see it and weather it up good and proper with enamels or acrylics and matt varnish.Sails great and gets lots of attention lakeside.I used a 380 motor and an Mtroniks TIO esc,so I can use a 7.4 Lipo OR NiMh battery, just ables along nicely!
