Hi y'all. I did the ballast and leak check on the Mystery Saturday, needed about 8 oz of ballast to get her close to the waterline. Splashed her Sunday, after almost 2 hours in the water, probably 1.5 hours of actual runtime, the 5200 mah 2 cell lipo still had 77% of charge left, and each cell was still over 4.0 volts when I checked the battery. Not a drop of water in the hull. Now, she needs a bumper and fenders, and a couple of other small details, and I'll call her done. These little guys are definitely not boats for any thing beyond “sea state” one or two. Ballasting is always a conflict between stability & water incursion. That said they’re a teaching experience for a building larger tug.
