Edmund Gardner Liverpool Pilot Boat -

As mentioned in my last blog I decided to change the speed controller (escp) with one ordered from Ebay (free postage from China) at £8.80. Well it has arrived and I am over the moon with it; it is fan cooled and has two motor outputs for driving two contra rotating props or just one if you want. it handles 320A and is full proportional in forward or reverse. it works from 6volt to 16volt and has BEC. its now fitted in "Edmund Gardner" and I will be ordering some more at this price!!!

This supplier appears to have ceased trading on Ebay, but similar generic items come up if you search for 320A brushed ESC speed controller.
Typical item is listed under 321944125646

1 Anchor winch and chains fitted on foredeck
2 Starboard lifeboats fitted to davits.
3 General view of lifeboats and tenders(jolly-boats)
4 Closer view of the tender on davits.
All the davits have large electric operating motors and pulley arrangement to be made.
More work to do on the foremast and various deck fittings; it has loads of ventilators and hatches. There is large winch to be constructed on stern deck. A large binnacle and stand platform to be fitted on the upper bridge nav deck, plus water tank.
Should be finished before Christmas. Afraid holidays and display events have slowed down the build.

Very nice of you to say so, but I think the photos make it look better than it really is!

Slow progress, but the mast and fore rigging completed. Close up of the rungs going up the length of the mast, not a pleasant task. Couple more ventilators on the main deck. Still loads to do but must have it done for Christmas.

The Last Post On This Build.
She's completed at last!!
There were so many mushroom vents on this model I just had to find an easy way to make these so the first photo shows method with dowels of various diameters and some plastic tube.
The other photos show the completed model.

    Great build.

Would you be so kind as to post a couple of photos; close-ups of how you attached the guy wires to your mast?

    Thank You.

Nothing clever or fancy I used waxed cord and just tied them to mast and spar. Small brass eyes fitted to deck to secure. See close up photos on Build Blog addition.
    Cheers.
