Kit is by Krick and it will be steam powered. Scale is 1" to 1 foot. Only have a few hours into at this point.

This is my first steam boat build, prior steam items are stationary steam models and steam locomotives, all operational. Prior boat model builds are "Atlantic" and "Independence" display models and an electric powered tug boat "Long Island".

You can buy the engine with the boat kit but the last I checked it was out of stock. I happened to have the engine on hand when I ordered the boat kit.

The first change was to add an aluminum rudder heel instead of the plastic one that the kit provided. The next was to use brass sheet on the rudder instead of the thin plywood provided. The most radical modification was to cut down the high gunwale at the stern to make it look more like a launch.
