It's been a whilst since I posted any update, I've been sneaking as much time during feeding my new born as I can.
The basic hull and structure are now complete, I'm nearly there with the guns too. I've gone for the darker Matt Sea Grey with my ship and a Brunswick Green for the Decking.
I've just ordered the brass / copper material now so I can get to work on the funnels and masts before tackling the railings (Thank you Roy for the Jig setup diagrams)
Hopefully when the above is all complete I can work on the detailing, some things I will order online (Bofors etc) but I will try to make as much as I can from scratch or give it a go to test my build skills.
You may notice on the picture of the rear the numbering is not quite center, error on my part thinking my centering was OK before checking!

Been a while since I was able to post any update, having kids does that 😊
Anyway, I've managed to squeeze in the odd night here and there making some of the smaller detailing on my ship, I've managed to complete the main mast and for funnel foredeck detailing. I'm happy with the look of her, it's slowly coming along. I've uploaded some additional picture of the mast seeing how it looks on the ship in it's final position.
My next task will be to make the Carley raft shutes. I'll update as and when I can.

I've managed to start work on some of the detailing, it's going to take a while to get the ship looking right. There are a few pieces that I've managed to re-use from an earlier attempt at building a warship and I think they will help make it look more authentic.
Anyway onwards and upwards, hopefully I will be able to get her ready for the Spring and join up my local Boat club 😊

Keep going and good luck with the bits and bobs there's lots of fiddly small items to scratch build.
TIP: Build small portions of railings these are fragile and easily replaced if damaged in transit etc.
