After my "Haringboot" was on the water, I looked for a new project. This should be scratch build, sailing, have a motor and not to big.
By chance I found the Crotch By Pinky that originates in Maine. After some investigation I could optain the original plans for such a boat at the "The WoodenBoat Shop" in Maine.
I got 5 Files with the authentic plans to build a full scale Pinky.
As these plans have been 1:12 scale (imperial) I converted them to 1:10 and have now a boat size of about 70 cm.
Currently I finished the frames and started with the keel beam. I try to use the original wood like oak and cedar.

This looks like the start of another exceptional build.
Converting the original plans to 1:10 scale while staying faithful to the authentic materials is a wonderful approach.
The frame work already shows great precision, and I look forward to following the progress of this beautiful Pinky.
I made some progress with the Pinky.
It took some time to find the place for the servo's and motor, esc and battery.
For the foresail, I need 2 servos and one for the main sail, these i put these in the front. They will hide in a hut as I found has been used on a pinky. The motor, esc and battery will find there place in the motor hut.
I used 1,5 mm ceddar for the hull, these I bend with a hot steamer. This is used by my wife to clean stone tiles.
The stringers in the hull are oak.
Next to come is the rudder and how to operate this with a servo.

Hi Ronald, this boat hast to sail. That's why I need 2 servo's for the foresail.
I will put a keel with lead.
Hope this will keep Here upright.
