A tail of two TID Tugs

I am calling this a rebuild as you will see later.
Back in the early 90s I was at one of the Greenwich model boat shows, one of the Stands there was Marine Modeling International, were they had there plans at show prices, that was when I got a set for a 1/24 scale T.I.D.

Move unto 2012 when I picked up a copy on Marine Modeling just because it had an article on the T.I.D. fast forward to 2019 and Sarik had a wood pack for the TID at half price.

I started to build the hull from the wood pack, again I lost interest and put it onto the shelf, then about 18 months ago I got my hands on a working TID which had been build as per the 2012 article.
Now the rebuild starts alongside my 2019 build.

Now that's an inspiration, I also had a knock down Bulkhead/Deck set about the same time. It has been up and down off the shelf for years now, but You may have inspired me to have another look at this pre-cut Bulkhead set + Deck.. Only ever seen one wooden Hull, but plenty of Fibreglass units.. Keep up the good work, and dont forget the Pictures, they tell a story all of their own.. ATB Muddy..

Two Tugs not two soups

Having a long hard look at the wheelhouse, and some talk with chat-gb that AI thing, it looks as if the wheelhouse was open in WW2, so that is how I am going to rebuild the wheelhouse, also the AI think has given me a chart of Portsmouth harbor from WW2. photos to follow
