@ColRay. Hi Col, you are definitely doing a great job in your quest to build a 3D Clyde Puffer, and your progress to date is quite remarkable. I really like the fact that say on the steel engine and boiler housing, you can add the necessary rivet detail. Plus the hardwood wheel house can have planking detail, as at the end of the day it is the fine detail that makes all the difference.
I also keep a weather eye open on eBay looking for that magic bargain, and that is exactly how I got my hands on the boiler and steam engine for my latest ongoing never ending open launch, which I need to make some progress with as it has hardly been touched this year. With regard to the boiler I was the only bidder and bought it for £300, definitely the bargain of the year. A useful tip with regard to eBay is find your item and make sure the auction ends at some unearthly hour in the morning. I think getting hold of a steam operated model boat makes a lot of sense, as you would have every thing you need in one fatal swoop. Keep up the good work, onwards and upwards. Regards ,Gary.
