Dumas Chris Craft

Hi gents

Thought you would like to see my latest Ebay acquisition. It very battered but I have lots of the bits! Its 31" long.
It is fitted with an escapement type steering device. The main motor is a 'Pitman A Panther' motor made by Pitman Developments, in USA, and there is a mechanical speed controller. It also has Eveready dry batteries of American manufacture

I believe this is an American kit, but because of the American equipment fitted may also have been built in America.

Any guesses to its age, and has anyone seen a picture of the complete boat to guide my rebuild?
The motor runs so I hope to retain that but fit modern controls.

Any ideas appreciated.

All the best
Frank

Well......plot thickens!....................we now think the boat may be a 'Sterling' kit.
I have found the full size Cruiser for sale in the states as a 1954 Chris-Craft 45'

    HI Frank,
Looks to me like a Chris Craft Corvette by Sterling. See this youtube link:
The one picture that you posted is close, but would need more pics to be sure. There is a Dumas "commander express" but it only has 2 port windows not the 3 on your model.

    Enjoy Jeff
