Now to measure the rib supports and the caprail as well!
The only thing left to do is place the rib support on the upper Bulwark. The Caprail is the last piece of the puzzle.

The Bulkheads are about 1/8" thick, which mean that when putting the Epoxy on to glue the Caprails on. you have to be careful not to let the Epoxy run over the bulkheads. I used a piece of wood 1/16" as an applicator which worked ok.

With the Box Barge completed, I can now put my Barges together with my San Pedro Push Boat. The Tug & Barges will be about 120" inches long! Which make for a good tow. The Barges aren't the same scale as the Tug, They are 7/32" scale while the Tug is 1/32". But that's OK. Oh, I know the Box Barge needs painting. it's raining today so, scratch that idea. maybe tomorrow will be a good day to paint. Anyway took some Pictures of my Tug & Barges together, Their going to be a sight at the pond come this summer, I'm sure of it.

But didn't get any response, That's another Blog but anyway. so I've decided to use Resin, which I don't really want to use because of the vapors. But, I want to finish off my Box Barge correctly.
My Lead Barge was finished using Ductape. I don't want that for the Box Barge. I know I should use some glass cloth. But that's an area I'm not use to. First time is a charm, I guess I'll take a crack at it.

Hi Ed, Use one of the model aircraft resins, they are water based and don't stink the workshop out.
Cut the cloth or try ladies tights!!! stretched over the hull, i have used both with success, if using tights especially on the barge, use 2 or 3 layers, paint each one on then add another layer, bumping dock walls etc.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'm going to call one of the model boat stores near me about four towns away. I'm going to see if they have what you are talking about. I really can't afford the resin smell in my place as it's an Apartment.
But on the other hand, I want to finish off my Box Barge in the right way. I'm going to post my work as I progress, I've only worked once before with Resin and fiberglass cloth. it was a small strip of fiberglass 1"x6" not big at all!
I will do as you say and work in layers, Let's give it a try shall we!
