I've been a member for some time and thought It about time I submitted a project!!!!!
This Is a MTB based on a Thorneycroft power boat design.
The plans were Included with a copy of Marine Models International.
I was looking for something different to build and thought this fitted the bill.
It Is plank on balsa frame, although the original plans used one sixtyfourth Inch ply to skin the hull.
It Is fitted with a Torpedo 500 motor and performs reasonably well, but I had a few teething problems not least of all the prop shaft jamming on some errant araldite In the prop shaft leaving the boat to drift across the lake.
