Finally got around to cutting down the prop shafts and tubes by two inches on the Gato Submarine.
Now to find out what the problem is with the power on the WTC.

Back to the Gato now then Martin. Looking good.
I have an update on mine today also. The shafts were very different as supplied by RC Sub workshop. They can be see in my post. I have had to make bushes for the skegs. I have an electrical problem that I hope Doug can sort for me.
Hi Peter,
My Gato was finished but the shafts were to long and made the joint angle to tight.
I then developed a power problem, I suspected it was the remote switch but after a bit of further investigation the switch is perfectly fine.
I have to completely strip down my WTC to find the problem.
What sort of electrical problem do you have ?
Well guys,
I have spent most of today working on the Gato Submarine.
(I have added two before and the after photos of the prop shaft modifications.)
Anyway the main problem was no power in my WTC.
I tested it before opening the tube and it did not work at all.
So I decided to open up the tube bit by bit testing as I went, it wasn't until the hole tube was opened that it decided to work.
I have gone through the complete thing and unfortunately cannot find out what Was wrong with it,
Next I started to put it back together bit by bit testing all the way.
Finally got it back together and at the moment it is still working.
I will keep testing it until I am Happy with the reliability then fitt it back inside the submarine.
It's been a real head scratcher of a day!!
I really don't understand why I am doing all of this as I will never put her in the water because I am un able to.
I am toying with the idea of selling it to raise some funds.
