A 16 Ft tanker towboat
this Is about the 16ft towboat that I built for our club Chantry model club (chantrymodelboatclub.co.uk)
she Is 16ft long and 2ft wide,she has no bottom In the cargo spaces but has a 4" block of foam fitted up under the decks along her entire length.in each section.
she Is made up of the bow and sfern each 3ft long and 5 tank sections 2ft x 2ft,each section has 4 brackets one end and 4 slots the other.the brackets fit Into the coresponding slots and then two pins fit down through the deck and lock each section Into place.
she Is made of 6 sheets of 6mm plywood .
she also has her own motor and control gear so can be used simply as a big model.
each section can be removed on Its own so that we can reduce her length If we want a small shorter tow.
