The Danube V a condensed build blogg

This is the Danube V she was one of a pair built in 1935 for tilbury contracting and dreging co, she was built to tow big mud hoppers from the river thames away to sea for dumping.
she was 110 ft long and 800ihp.with steam triple expansion engines.

the model is 54" long.
Unfortunately I did not take any pictures of the hull build but I have covered all that in previod build bloggs.

And this is how she looks today , she has a lot more colour in her cheeks and is looking every inch a steam tug, she will be powered by a 12 volt M G cooling fan motor with a 26amp battery

Here she Is on her first sea trials, all went very well Indeed. she has a battery weighing 18lbs and an extra 24lbs of lead ballast.
