New Radio Link radios

Good info here.
I don't understand why this receiver has been altered but its not very safe for any model.
Your last comment is good for any radio system. The sequence should always be Transmitter on, receiver on. Receiver off, transmitter off. Also if not on 2.4Ghz then you should always check the frequency is not in use locally by another modeller.

New Radio Link radios

HI everyone

I just have seen this new version of Radio Link: (2.4GHz 4ch Transmitter Receiver Radiolink for rc Helicopters Airplane boat) on Ebay for sale for just over £27, with free post, It comes with Tx and RX as usual, the Rx model Is R7EH, the description for this radio sounds good, what It doesn't say Is that on signal lost the (R7EH) receiver doesn't switch off, Instead It goes automatically to reverse, now Imagine this In a tug. the first Radio Link radios came with Rx R6EH, this receiver was Ok, because all channels on signal lost the Rx did to zero, this equivalent to no signal.

I have tested this receiver on a simulator, and the results Is: Stick center position (150's) stick forward (200) stick backward (100). This (100) Is fixed on the throttle channel, that Is why It goes to reverse automatically, the other channels keeps the last signal Input, so If you have an electronic switch In any of these channels, If the signal Is lost that switch will stay on, because there Is no signal to tell other wise, on the other hand, If the R7EH was made the same as the R6EH, It would work with any model there Is, and It would be safe.

I hope that this will remind boats user never switch your transmiter off when the vessel Is on water or Indeed on the bench. I know, I use this radio myself.
