Wordle of the Day?

RN, it is a word I learned from Uncle Roger (You Tube, very funny).
If it don't fit, use a hammer to make it fit....

Wordle of the Day?

Almost so lucky Peter👍
My starter, CUTTER, gave me 4 letters but all jumbled up, took some head scratching and another black coffee to sort it out at 2nd attempt. Reading the 4 letters backwards gave me a good clue💡 and saved me.😀

Wordle of the Day?

Two today. Starter word gave me five letters. Lucky. 😃

Wordle of the Day?

"as it was the answer recently"
IMHO that's not so important on the first guess Peter.
As the chances of a 'hole in one' are pretty slim anyway.
Important is to have a starter with as many vowels as possible.
Either it will give you one, or even two, vowels or at least you have eliminated two and can set off on a new tack (boatie-pun intended😁).
BUOY is also useful, but bearing in mind that 'E' is the most common letter in the English vocabulary BEAR (as in bearing to windward) is good.
Today I was just lucky with my gut feeling saying GO BOAT!
So were you with PORT, gave the same result as BOAT (tastes better though😋)
Cheers, Doug😎

I did it in 2 also. I didn’t start with boat though as it was the answer recently. Port gave me a good start.😃

Wordle of the Day?

Inspired by GaryLC👍

"To win or knot to win, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
the pains and sorrows of outrageous Wordles
Or to pit the brain against a sea of doubts
and by solving them end them. To win - to lose
no more; and by a win to say we end
the headache and the thousand natural shocks
the brain is heir to: 'tis a consummation
devoutly to be wished. To win, to sleep,
to sleep, perchance to dream - ay, there's the rub:
For in that sleep of victory what dreams may come,
when we have shuffled off this wonderful website."

Wordle of the Day?

To be, or Knot to be, that was the question, very much stuck in the consistent four syndrome with clue.

I would suggest leaving it as it as it is.

Wordle of the Day?

My 2 cents worth😁
"clue at any time?"
Does that also mean before even the first guess?
If so then the clues must be much more cryptic.
Otherwise we'll all be 'holing in one'.😀😀😀😀
Leave it where it is and impose a one line penalty.
Cheers, Doug😎

Wordle of the Day?

Thinking on the "4 with clue" which has become the standard...

Should we allow a clue at any time? But have a one line penalty when used?

Open to thoughts!

Another case of the consistent consecutive conjecture syndrome, leading to a confused four.

Well after the 4th go, I can now set sail ⛵️ back to the studio for some more work on it and then plot a new course to my work shop for some boat time ⏲️ 😀
