Wordle of the Day?

3 today which again took two hours of thinking. Oh my poor 4 cells. 😀 A quick bout of perspiration.😁

Despite my school English, I can still get something together. I wonder how Doug manages this . . . Hey Doug, give us some tips!! 🤣🤣🤣

Wordle of the Day?

WOW! Got it in 2 today😮🤣
Bumped my average back up to 3.17 after a while in the 3 and 4 lines.
I have (had🙄) two 6 letter Starters.
First one turned up 1 letter, but in wrong place. No vowels🤔
Second one, different vowel selection, to my surprise hit the jackpot.
Shucks! Now I need a new Plan B Starter word😁
Cheers, Doug 😎
Young at heart 😉 Slightly older in other places.😊 Cheers Doug

Wordle of the Day?

4 for me with the clue. Even after seeing the clue it took a good two hours before my four cells came up with anything that fitted. It is only my opinion, but I think the use of plurals makes the solution much more difficult. Masts is one of the answers that was really tricky for this reason.😊

Wordle of the Day?

4th attempt with a clue. Note to self, don't do puzzles without drinking at least 3 jugs of hot, strong Yorkshire tea first...
If it don't fit, use a hammer to make it fit....

Wordle of the Day?

3 today. Annoyed with myself as the answer is usually my first word guessed on a five letter puzzle. Changed tact today. What a day to choose to change.😊
I think if the puzzle was one letter, I would still average four goes.😬

In 4 with clue today. I too have noticed the shorter the word the harder the answer.....

Wordle of the Day?

My average scores per word length for July to date are
6 letters = 3.125
5 letters = 3.714
4 letters = 3.75
This would suggest it is harder to discover a shorter letter word.

Average dipped again🤔

Wordle of the Day?

4 today without using clue. 4 letters are much more challenging. I like them though…so far.😀

Wordle of the Day?

I had three lines with no letters at all. Buoy, Helm, Tack. This made an I a definite letter. Then I saw the answer. No clue but it was close.😊

Wordle of the Day?

Two attempts and couldn't find a single letter, third attempt found three letters and the clue, and nailed it in four. Must try to concentrate more.

Wordle of the Day?

I hang my head in shame, especially as this is my main means of propulsion, and I needed four attempts to get the answer. Must try harder and drink more coffee to wake up in the mornings. Gary.

3 for me. I have to be happy with that. Smoke was coming from one of my brain cells. Only four left again. Even more sprouts needed.😃

Wordle of the Day?

Yeeee Haaaah!😀
My first hole in one!!!
My usual two starters weren't very successful lately, all grey🤔
So tried something new ... and BINGO! 'Well I'll go t' foot of our stairs!'
Picked meself up off the floor and poured a wee (🙄) dram of the amber nectar to celebrate😋

😎
Young at heart 😉 Slightly older in other places.😊 Cheers Doug
