Wordle of the Day?

As per the instructions, I randomly selected a word, with a nautical theme. I decided to start with rudder. I nearly fell off me perch when the confetti appeared telling me I had won! So not really a skillful puzzle solving excercise, it was a lucky guess....

Wordle of the Day?

Fixed the 3.4 lines error! You should all now see your own averages rather than you all seeing my average! 😆

First go this time! Never heared of 'haulout' though. Boats are usually launched and recovered in the UK...

Wordle of the Day?

First encounter with 'Wordle'.
Mind bending head scratching but it worked, with 3 attempts to spare😀
Much to my surprise!
😎
Bit puzzled by the ranking though! 'My average 3.4 Lines'?
Young at heart 😉 Slightly older in other places.😊 Cheers Doug

Wordle of the Day?

Welcome all Wordle'rs!

There are instructions under the Wordle keyboard, but I’ll do my best to explain here too.

So every day you’ve six attempts at getting a target word. The target word will be anything from 4 letters to 8 letters. The target word is the same for everyone and will be, in most cases, nautically themed.

The first word entered is totally your choice, although it’s usually useful to start with a word that has lots of vowels (AEIOU). Once you enter your word, the letters will highlight either green, orange or grey.

Green = That letter is the right letter and in the right place.

Orange = The letter exists in the target word, but it’s not in that position.

Grey = That letter doesn’t exist in the target word at all.

You then try a different word, generally wise to find one that uses the orange letters somewhere else and new letters that haven’t yet been used.

As you progress, more will show green and hopefully within 6 guesses you’ll get the target word.

I’ve attached how mine went today!

I have also added an option to view a clue after filling line three (half way through)… and also the option to give up!

Giving up doesn’t affect your average score or the country score. Neither does using the clue. Keeping it more on the fun side with few penalties 👍

No need to reply to this one. Just creating a placeholder thread. I'll update everyone in time 👍
