Here in South Australia we have a brewery called "Cooper's'.
The Cooper's beers are naturally brewed and contain no preservatives. The Pale Ale in particular is brewed in the bottles and contain a fair amount of 'sludge' in the bottom. This 'sludge' is mixed back into the Pale Ale by gently rolling the bottle. The resultant flavour is excellent. Having no preservatives, the Pale Ale has little tendency to leave drinkers with a hangover.
The Pale Ale bottles have no 'use by' date, instead they have a 'use after' date.😋

Hi all just having my tea and as we do not use much jam I fancied some Apricot which I thought was in a drawer.
Found it and spread it on some toast and it was nice. I checked the lid and it said best before March 2018! So only 6 years out of date but most sugary sweet foods last a long while.
I have a tin of anchovy fillets in a separate cardboard box! These are dated 1998 so I will save those as a treat for later. However I was watching a food programme on this subject and a 40 year old tin of sardines was opened and both presenters ageed they were very nice to eat.
Somewhere on me is a best before date or maybe even a sell by date but not found it yet! I shall persevere onwards and get a bit more exercise under my belt as I am off to Australia at the end of next month and I have to be fit for that.
I love walking in the sand with the waves around my ankles, perhaps these have washed off my date so now I will never know!
Anybody else ignore these dates, there is so much food waste and a lot of it because the government wanted that info on products.
It does not matter which party is in power I try to avoid any government recommendations. They are so often wrong!
After the recommendations to go diesel I do wonder about electric vehicles as well! With near silent traffic on the roads will there be more pedestrian casualties? There so many unexpected consequencies!
I love the one I read of that with the mass use of mobile phones amongst the young that young female pregnancies has gone down by 80%!
So not all bad.
