Dusseldorf post rebuild??

YES !

there are some really good pictures of this conversion on the german fireboat website [sorry for plug!]. it also means that the lifeboat now sits forward of the main cabin, along with its crane boom.

PS, dont forget the "stern conversion" ! its a must for any dusseldorf! it really help skeep the hull stable in speed turns, check my video out to see for yourself and how effective it is.
I made mine up out of a sheet of thin ply [1.5mm] and again made the triangular supports out of same material, so it wont hurt if you accidentally reverse in to something hard. [ha ha].

no, Ive not converted mine to the later long version, mine is too much fun as it stands, but if I had an oppertunity to grab another cheap secondhand item............... well.......er .............perhaps I would give it a go.

best of luck with yours, dont forget to put the conversion in the build blog, or failing that, "pm" me for more info.
Best wishes.

Dusseldorf post rebuild??

Is anyone aware of a post-rebuild Dusseldorf. It Involves cutting the boat In half just abaft of the steps up to the foredeck, and then extending the hull by about 180mm.
I want to do It, but am not sure If I have the nerve.
