Mistery box

Hi Colin,
Can't help with the tug I'm afraid, although from hull and funnel form she looks relatively modern. Googling J & P McConnell turned up a load of American judges and such but nothing relevant ☹️
That Supermarine looks in a tad better condition than the one you sent me for renovation 😉 Interesting that the spacers appear to be brass, whereas the one I renovated had aluminium (or rather aluminium dust!🤔) spacers.
The Hitec ESC is very familiar 😊 I still have one (in working order) which did sterling service for a good 30 years, first in my destroyer and later in my Sea Scout before the latest refit with brushless.
It should work fine with your renovated Supermarine on a 7.2V NiMh or a 2S LiPo 👍
Cheers, Doug 😎
Young at heart 😉 Slightly older in other places.😊 Cheers Doug

Mistery box

Whilst I was at the Abergavenny steam and vintage show today I was offered some model boat stuff for a charity donation. Box of assorted boat fittings and a box of motors etc including another Taycol, plus a mistery box. When I got home I opened the box to find a large tug Hull and decks but no name or instructions. So if anyone has details of this tug I will be eternally grateful. All parts are labelled, J&P. McConnell, Mersey Tugs, Catalogue number 00603.
Fair winds and calm waters,
COLIN.
