linear actuator for steering

HI and welcome.
Not quite sure what you mean by linear actuator. Used to use linear servos in my plane flying days but haven't seen any on sale recently.
F14 Tomcat - isn't this a fast jet aircraft? Swing wings seems a pretty serious bit of engineering and the power from the actuator would need to be quite high.
I recall many years ago building my own speed controllers and actuators for steering but the technology was pretty basic and probably not very precise. Failsafe was not really a problem but would be in a flying plane.
I'd be interested to hear more, and if you have an actuator I would be willing to help with suggested wiring.

linear actuator for steering

Newbie here, has anyone used a linear actuator for steering In their boat? and has anyone got a wiring diagram of said Item.Reason, although not a boat subject I am building a radio control F14 Tomcat with swing wings and want to use an actuator to achieve this, any help would be most welcome.
I have In the past built the Fire Tender and Wave Princess ( I think that what It was called) although many a year ago now.
