Hi Peter,
That was very kind of you'r better half.
Perhaps you should purchase a small lathe for her Birthday then after she throws at you!!
you could use it yourself LOL!!!

That 18 months will soon fly past
If it looks right it probably is.

Thanks HAKits. It is a good offer but I can only get a single phase 32A supply in Hungary. At that price you shouldn’t have much difficulty in selling though.

Hello Peter, I have a boxford lathe i would like to get rid of. It is one i liberated from a school when i worked there, it has a 3 phase motor and could do with a bit of a tidy up. I gave a donation of £100 so if i can get the same, i will be happy. Its in the Manchester area.

Machine shop

For Christmas, my dear better half bought me a bench drill to start off the small shipyard I have in Hungary.(A shed).😃
I plan to purchase, during next year, a small lathe, a milling machine and a band or fret saw. I have seen some nice ones available but before I commit, does anybody have good machines that they would recommend or bad ones to avoid.
I would like them to be fairly sturdy as I would use them regularly. I am a toolmaker now so want to keep going but in a mini scale.
I retire in 18 months so I have time.
Thanks. Peter.👍
