I ordered two Graupner motors. Graupner as you may know has gone BANKRUPT. They are being liquidated. Westbourne dos not have my motors. Maybe they intend to hunt some down. Maybe they intend to just keep my money. I have launched a dispute with my credit card company. At some point I will get my money back. I scoured the internet in the USA and found someone who had the two motors I needed.

But I build model boats so I can .... RELAX ! ! ! Not go through this. Westbourne - we have words in America that describe you. Promise to answer one of my many emails and I will tell you what these words are.

Similar recent bad experience with this company. Money taken very quickly, invoice received next day but no parts. Eventually after severel emails an email was answered telling me that basically the parts had been put on back order with the supplier without consultation.I asked to cancel order and for monies to be refunded. This did not happen and many more emails were Ignored. Money only returned after over three months after sending registered letter indicating that the whole sorry business had been conducted in contravention of their published business policy. Will never use again, there are more than enough other suppliers out there eager for my business.

I too have used Westbourne Models in the past when I was sourcing parts for my Fireboat, I found them most helpful and parts ordered over the phone were received next day... I am aware though, that things have changed, the original owner having gone into retirement with business now handled by one of the sons.
Since or after that time, about three years, I have had no occasion to use their services so cannot vouch for whatever services they now provide.

Thank you. I expected the problem to be something like that. Westbourne cannot ship what it does not have. But I do not exaggerate when I tell you I have sent Westbourne 13 emails at this point to two separate e-mail address AND I have made TWO phone calls from Los Angeles to Westbourne and left detailed messages on their answering machine. ANY reply from them would be appreciated. But their choice is to NOT respond. And so you and I can only GUESS.

Might be more of a problem with Graupner / Robbe in Germany. I know some local model boat suppliers have had difficulty sourcing stock from both companies. Could be a result of the economic downturn affecting the Euro. Westbourne are a highly respectable supplier and, from my experience, usually on the ball with orders so I suggest you email them politely asking if your order has shipped. An email will get to the correct department to answer your query, whilst a phone call requiring a phone back to LA may not.

I'm a member living In Los Angeles, California. I ordered two Graupner motors from Westbourne FIVE WEEKS ago. My credit card bill says Westbourne got their money. So far - no motors! I have called Westbourne from Los Angeles twice. They have not responded. I have also sent over a dozen emails. Again -- no reply. Has Westbourne gone out of business? Do they simply not care? Is their company run by fools? If anyone knows someone at Westbourne please give them a shout. Tell them Jim In Los Angeles wonders why he's being Ignored for over a month.
