About this boat
This is one of my many Allied Coastal Forces Model Boat Group models(11 in total.) that I have built and now sold. I was the founder member of the ALLIED COASTAL FORCES MODEL BOAT GROUP,formed in 1989 and for the first 3 years I was the only member,the story behind that, is the model club I was a member of at the time,when we went to shows they kept on insisting that I split up my models to different tables,amongst tugs,cabin cruisers and other non-coastal forces craft, I had 8 diff.MTB's/MGB's etc. at the time and a nice big sign +flags describing the C.F.M.B.G. to cut a Long story short,I left the club and all their pestering, and went to the shows as a seperate displayer...In 1992/3 I was being persued by the late great Mike Harding,he lived in Ware,a very good and great modeller,I had the great honor of knowing this man,and to have him as my friend.) at every show I went too, he wanted to join the Group,so I agreed (at the last Greenwich Maritime show.)he was a little surprised when he ask how many members were in the group, I said 2 now, including him!!! so together we could mount a display in the end of 21 allied coastal forces craft, and later joined by John Lambert with his mass of reference material...We would attend with our models at the Coastal Forces Veterans(London Branch) meetings held in London, and listen to the stories of the boats they were on,and what they got up too in ww2. I will put more photos on of the other allied coastal forces in the next week or two😁😁😁 Happy sailing shipmates...😝😁😁

I have had a look at picture in the advert for the 1/35 Italeri Vosper 72'-6" M.T.B.77 and it just does'nt look quite right,for a start the pennant #77 was a Vosper 70' series1 type 1,(MTB'S 73 to 98 were Vosper 70'er's) the deck layout just don't look like a Vosper 72'-6" from what little I can see from the pic. so I think somebody's got it wrong somewhere and I don't think it would be John Lambert or Al Ross, my bet is Italeri...take care, be safe...😋..."full ahead together," "hard a starboard," "man your battle stations!!! "off we go into the wild blue yonder"...😁😁😁
Sorry, it was not Tamiya, but Italeri, still, it is the kit Zi built and did an Rc conversion for single brushed motor and one prop.
For MTB's/MGB's try Deans marine models...

This was not a kit, it was all scratch built with hull and guns and deck equip. etc. from various model boat vendors. bridge etc.with plasicard...I Don't ever remember a 1/24 scale kit? not back in 1988/90...you asked what was my opinion on the Tamiya 1/35 Vosper? I did'nt know their was one...??? thanks for the likes...more coming soon...
