About this boat

Scratch built by myself.
Sails were curtesy of a Boat Club friend.
A backup motor was installed for rescue if wind disappeared. 😁

That is a fantastic model you built it looks so well made, how long did it take you?

Kitty is fully fitted out for charter and static corporate entertainment, but I understand from a senior member of her former crew that she has been laid up for some months hopefully awaiting a new owner. She is unlikely to sail again until a new owner is found or the present one has a change of heart. What a waste of a perfectly good barge!!!!

I believe the original Kitty was built in 1895 and still operating as a corporate entertainment vessel.
My model sails well if the breeze is sufficient. The motor helps to retrieve it if the wind isn’t sufficient.

Looks as if you have made a very nice job of Kitty. Let us know how she sails when you've given her a run. Incidentally, I believe the real Kitty is looking for a new owner, if you are interested!

The length is approximately 1M and overall height from top of mast to underside of hull is 1M. The height does not include the removable false keel which is required to stabilise this flat bottomed craft.
