Ron,
WOW! Thank you for the great articles! I loved reading them, and have saved the links for future reference.
The boat is a completed old build. The running hardware and electronics are definitely "old school", and will be replaced.
The Chris Craft Cobra I also posted was listed on FB Marketplace. Bad pictures and no detailed information. I was almost driving by on my way to purchase the AquaCraft Rescue 17 I had committed to. I thought I'd stop to look at the Dumas Cobra to see what shape it was in first hand. While there, the owner said "I've got this other one too" and showed me the Lobster boat. Both boats were filthy, covered in decades of dust and debris. He was anxious to part with them, and although the electronics were old and not installed, he had a box of parts containing them. I ended up buying both boats and the box of old electronics for $100.00. I think I did OK. The only fallout was when I came home with 3 boats instead of the one I left to pick up. She'll get over it ... I hope. 😉
PS I feel pretty good about my "deal", after seeing the one on eBay a couple days after I bought my boat.

That boat will last longer than the quiet spell... so who really wins here ? 🤔
It may be more expensive buying roses for the wife🤞🤞

I added more cockpit details to my model, plus a roof over the cockpit as seen in the second link.
