Bit of a surprise, was considering one of these as fancied a smaller yacht then won this one in a boat club raffle. Turns out it even had a Flysky Tx on board so compatible with my Rx.
Only had to replace a couple of lines and some elastic and resolder the on-off switch.
You can also put the boat into your car vertically behind the front seat, leaning the bow down to rest on the floor or tunnel. This way enables several boats to go into my car and still have space on the back seat and in the rear ! 😉
Thanks for all the comments, much appreciated. On Sunday evening I ordered a few spares and a battery from radiosailing.co.uk
Can’t fault the service as it all arrived today so will take the DF65 for its maiden sail tomorrow.
Looking forward to a smaller, simpler boat. I’ve had IOMs in the past and have an elderly A Class, an old Marblehead and the Robbe Jolie but they are too big to throw in the car for a quick sail.
After racing my Dragon Force for a while I removed the original Joysway receiver and installed a Flysky. Much, much better response. I've had no problems since. I use a 5cell (AAA) hump pack, and to save having to replace the adhesive patch each time I want to recharge it I have installed permanent stainless charging bolts that appear on the deck. To recharge the battery I simply attach to these bolts with crocodile clips. After 5 or 6 times using the boat I will remove the patch to make sure the interior remains dry. Many people get water into their boat from split or broken bow stems or keel fastening , so keep an eye on these areas.😉
A great win, you will enjoy sailing it.think you might start racing, plenty of events available. Would suggest you also invest in a A+ rig it makes a big difference in light winds.

You will enjoy racing with this boat. Easy to get into the car without having to de-mast it.😉
