Well I know it’s not hand made but I couldn’t leave the Dragonforce out, purchased off a lady few years back after her father past away and its given me plenty of hours of fun ,Wind permitting lol he used to sail with his friends on Windermere model boat club so had to take it to keep his spirit alive for her as it was his pride and joy ,uploaded a video off YouTube for anyones enjoyment there’s a few of my videos on there from the club and other videos I’ve done over the years mite be interesting to Someone
Dragonforce sails and masts are used for two of my sailboats which are not a Dragonforce hull.
Here is an old Billings kit, Dragen with a DF65 or DF96 mast and set of sails. Works just fine .
I bought one of these Dragon Force yachts about 2015 when the price (in England) was £140 including the transmitter. It has given hours of enjoyment and required little attention. The great thing is being able to put it into the car without the need for any dis-assembly. I had to patch up a nose split and lash up the downhaul fitting which broke, probably through mis-handling.
The only down-side is that at our club people have taken to using all the different sail sizes, ie. A, B and C. I have only the original A sail set and often find myself being out-sailed by the A boats. I do not wish to spend lots of money on purchasing the other sail sets. Thankfully the club is about to introduce a handicap system. We will see how it works out ! 😉
If anyone is interested. I have a dragonflies 65 with 3 suits of sails sat in my garage doing nothing. I must admit, I have broken the mast stay on the top of the mast on the main suit. But there are others together with the smaller and larger suits, so you should have no trouble sailing her.
I would let her go with 3 suits sails, and a 2 channel radio, and a nicad pack for the on-board power for around £150 if anyone wants her. I have so much difficulty getting around these day, I don't get to use her at all I'm afraid.
I also have an international 1metre boat with rudder servo and 2 suits of sails that needs to go as well, not sure of the actual model, but would clean up very nicely. £offers for that one.
Hope you are all well. Best wishes, Dave 👍
There’s still a couple knocking about online zooma a couple at my club have earlier ones but when the 65s and 95s are all on there’s only two that sticks out mine and the club members which are black all the rest are white so it’s a bit hard to keep an eye one them all but at least mines black so I know we’re it is lol radiosailing do the latest version but there’s a site in American called hobby warehouse that still sell the V5 in black https://www.hobbywarehouse.com.au/joysway-dragonforce-65-v5-rg65-class-rc-yacht-includes-transmitter-receiver.html
Glad you enjoy it. Dragonforce 65 and Dragonflite95 are superb one design yachts with complete adjustments of sails and rig. Either the different sets of sails they handle most wind conditions and if you race them it’s down to your ability as the boats are all the same. Luv mine👍
Hi I tend to help find new owners for donated model boats and the occasional sale but it is always mentioned. "Find someone who will appreciate it".

I will see if I can find a back hulled version of the Dragonforce 65 for sale at a reasonable price locally.
