About this boat

Sarinda is an unusual subject having been converted to a luxury yacht from one of the few remaining HDML (Harbour Defence Motor Launch) built at the latter end of WWII. As ML1392 she was one of the first boats at D-Day performing a navigation role guiding the rest of the fleet into the beach.
She was converted in the late 80s but fell into disrepair but remains afloat. The current owners bought her on Ebay (completely on a whim) and are doing a splendid job of rebuilding her. They are documenting the progress on YouTube (Ship Happens) which is where I came across her.

Some progress. Sarinda has quite high bulwarks forward which is going to make the deck difficult to do. Also covered walkways down the side of the cabin so I think I will need to make the cabin roof removable rather than the whole cabin.

    Hi Al
Thanks for adding the pictures. I have seen the HDML version before but not seen the SARINDA version. You have captured far more detail than I have from the available photos, well done.
Could I be cheeky and ask if you have a high res version of SARINDA you could let me have as it will greatly improve my model build?
