PCF 314 is a scratch built Vietnam era fast patrol craft in 1/16 scale. Construction is largely thin plywood. Hull is plank on frame. Power is from two 540 size motors. Nimh batteries 9.6 volts. Operating features include running lights and searchlight, rotating radar and steering wheel at open rear steering position turns with rudder. Like all of my models has a custom carrying case.
Hello CommodoreH, the captains who led ships with one good leg and one wooden leg belong to the past and to pirate novels.
I wish you a quick recovery.
When you're fit, make us a nice video of the navigation, there's no rush.
VERY nice! If you put crew on board for the time when I was there, you would have to have Vietnamese crewmen with some US advisors, all Senior to the Vietnamese.
(Obviously brought back some memories.)
Looking at your shop, there are many examples of your fine craftsmanship!
Really good job. Not just the look of the boat but in your finish! Straight lines, smooth finish, good looking railings and painting. You just need to fix the steering wheel and add some figures, accessories, rope lines and... wow!
