About this boat
Marcel Theriault skipper/owner of the Beamsville said his tugboat came with the Texas Nozzle. He said it gives added directional thrust when towing it has nothing to do with speed.
I recently added the cone to my model to see what effect it would make. It will be tested on August 9th when the Metro Marine Modellers in Toronto will be sailing in the Nathan Phillips Square reflection pool.
The RusselBrothers of Owen Sound, Ontario build many varieties of vessels. The Loganville and Beamsville are both Ville Class tugboats. Built for the CDN Royal Navy and saw duty on both coasts on Canada and some were shipped over seas too. Read the history of the Loganville:

No new engine, or other below deck major items, just above deck improvements. With these tugs the various tow lines are stowed in a locker below the aft deck. To get into it requires removing a number of bolts, the lift the hatch cover, remove the required length of line, then replace the cove insuring it’s seals are in place & replace all the bolts.
Pete built a shelf for over the engine room that holds his lines, a pump, gas container, fire control items, and life raft.
