About this boat

A modified wooden ornament by Hannah.
All superstructure stripped off and fitted with all electrics prop, rudder etc.
Now a little river barge. Handles well light to carry and good in water.

I suspect that the concern was not for your models, but for other people's models which may still be on a frequency susceptible to commutator RF interference, and which may be sailing near your boats....

    Hi! Doug
no the esc is not home brew, it was from ebay.
"RC ESC 20A Brush Motor Speed Controller w/ Brake for RC Car Boat Tank" for £3.37 works well and as far as the interference suppression with capacitors; no I don't find any need for them now I'm on 2.4ghz. All my models work from the one 6 channel transmitter, and none of them have any suppressors on, although they are all brushed motors. Never had any problems.
I don't do submarines so have no need for 40Mhz or 27 Mhz.
I like to keep things simple!

Looks good 4clubs, (tell us sometime which 4😉)

I note the ESC 'has no clothes on 😮 Is it home brew?
Also miss the suppression capacitors on that brushed motor!
I know folks will tell you that you don't need 'em with 2.4GHz RXs BUT
that don't help us guys who still use 40MHz in subs cos 2.4Gigs are allergic to water, they 'fly' away from it. Or simply cos the then expensive 40Meg kit still works so why chuck it away?
Like the crew 👍"Ahoy there landlubber"!

    Cheers, Doug 😎
