This is my vintage type Pond Yacht. Gaff rigged and built on a fiberglass hull purchased from a fellow club member.Loosley based on a free plan in a Model Boats mag from a few years ago. Very realistic sailing and not for windy days, but its different and can be sailed in almost calm conditions. (8/10)
Hello there, and I hope you do not mind me dropping you a line in private. I think you have made a really nice job of putting your boat together and I think it looks great a beautiful job. I am just a little concerned with regard to ventilation and getting air to the burner, I tend to install several open hatches, extra portholes, which are never glazed, and the same with windows again never glazed, and for good measure working ventilators, and the odd door or two left open. Just a little food for thought, again I hope you do not mind, check out my harbour all my boats are steam-powered. Regards, Gary.
I honestly thought it was not planked but a preformed hull until I saw this photo which I had missed last time. Still very impressed with the smooth finish. It was the painted hull which looked to me that it was a preformed type.
So tell me how you did that stern portion from rub rail up? You have a sweeping, aft curved towards the stern deck. Is it numerous strips glued edge to edge with vertical grain running up? Then filler applied after sanding?

Where did you get the hull as the kit shows a plank on frame?
