   hi martin,
   thanks, i'm actually nearly finished a steam drifter which ive been working on for years.. so hopefully i'll get some pics of her on sea trials soon, weather permitting!

   nerys, thats a pity, they would have been priceless to you.
   i built her from a spare G/A plan that was handy, it was a great way to pass a trip, with an hour or two's work between watches, seems a long time ago now!

   Very traditional thing to do, build a model of the ship you are serving in. My father made several, I wish I had them now, but I think my mother disposed of them in a major house move. Grrrrrrrr!
