Lovely job and thank you for pictures, I have considered this as my next build but have not made my mind up yet.
Glad to see that someone else's work area is as 'busy' as mine!

Just something I learn't the hard way Glues can say waterproof meanwhile they are water resistant! Try and get what is known as a TDS ( Technical Data Sheet) from the manufacturer. People forget what you get in the UK you can't find in other countries ( Bean there and learn't)

Excellent result UncleT👍
I must admit that I was a bit surprised at the hull build sequence in places.
But I guess that just proves again that 'All roads lead to Rome'😉
Alls well that ends very well.
Looking forward to the Maiden video👍 and the next Build😊
Stay SAFE, cheers, Doug 😎
'A Tale of Two Glues' ToraDog🤔
Aw sh...........ucks!😭
A word to the wise - next time first float / leak / balance test in the Domestic Test Tank, with no electronics on board!😉 I trust your second boat was a resounding success👍
Stay safe, cheers, Doug 😎
My first build, a Dumas 33" PT 109 did not turn out that well. With little to no guidance, I was on my own.I did ok, but when I put her in the water first time I learned that Elmer's white glue was not waterproof. Needless to say, my planking straightened out some quick, as it headed to the bottom.
You will not be seeing that on your build. Bravo Zulu.
For a first build, you have done very well, you appear to have a natural affinity to model boat building. I look forward to seeing pics of her in the water and many more builds in the future.
Very nice model. I am in the process of building a RAF 46" fire tender from a kit made by aerokit. I started building this 45 years ago, the main parts of the hull had been built then my children came along so the kit went into the loft and got forgotten about until our first lockdown came. The model is now nearly finished and ready for its first outing on the local lake.
Uncle T.
Very good model, and as a first time build thats excellent.
Looks like you have a natural for this hobby, keep sharing your progress.
Are you fitting working monitors.
Cheers Colin.
Hi UncleT
For a first attempt at building a boat you've done a really excellent job of it 👍👍.
I note that the SLEC Crash Tender has solid balsa block bows and you've done a great job shaping them to a realistic profile.
I hope you found the build blogs for similar boats on this site helpful while you were building it.
So what's next ?

Hi Uncle T,
You have done an absolutely fantastic job considering this is your first build.
It look like you really enjoyed the build.
I hope on your next build you do a build log.
Great work.

Agreed the build plans were slightly all over the place and some wrong identifying codes were incorrect, one main one being the skins.
The next build is underway a Police Launch and then the Pilot Boat ( Christmas Presents).
Maiden Voyage will happen once we are out of Lockdown.🙄

Look for the '12 years, 40% proof' on the label 😋
Lechyd da! 😁😎

It would be nice to see a thread/build of your Fire Tender, and hopefully a video of her first outing.
Sorry to jump in on your thread Uncle T, keep up the good work.
