Yes, I agree. Is it fired by meths? If so, that would be a hazard in a boat. Also it would be difficult to take a drive off for the prop shaft and propeller. And it would have to be a big boat!

The Shelburne museum has the the SS Ticonderoga. She use to run Lake Champlain during the summer. I saw her about 25 years ago. Has a true walking beam engine.
