Yes, I agree. Is it fired by meths? If so, that would be a hazard in a boat. Also it would be difficult to take a drive off for the prop shaft and propeller. And it would have to be a big boat!

As to the spirit burner it’s simply a tin oblong box filled with cotton wool and a wire mesh over the top very easy to make.
