Stuffing box

The Commuter needed a 12 " stuffing box and shaft had to wait for the order to come in. Built the skeg from a 1" piece of pine drilled the angle and cut to shape needs to be fine tuned for fit when the stuffing box is in.

Black arts

To say electronics is a weakness of mine might be under stated as I have burnt out a few items in both boats and train layout
For this boat I wanted to do a brushless system as a brushless system turned out well in the Huntsman build.
Having brushless motor and esc it was on to the setup. Read the setup instructions a number of times that stated foreword reverse was programable proceeded to setup the esc up.
Able to get one or the other but not both.
Not sure how but after many tries and some fine words the esc and motor work in both directions.

Hi Rick, coming along nicely. Funny how far China has spread, I have exactly the same clamps way down here !
