As anyone who has followed me previously knows I do love to make my boats look like that have worked! There’s nothing worse than a clean fishing boat! So with that in mind the ‘treatment’ has happened and now she is starting to look like a working boat!!

Thanks! Working boats need to look like they have worked.. I think that makes the model more real and therefore believable! I have in the past even fooled fishermen who thought photos of my model were infact a real boat!

Well she’s set for triple rigging flat fish so seeing as though night time is the best time to get the flats it makes sense! Not much left to do now, might well be putting her in the water this weekend ...
Now what will this become by the end of the night 🤔

A wheelhouse wouldn’t be complete without a few old newspapers in it! Made these today.. the boat on the front is the local Folkestone boat which is a gm33. The skipper Luke has been giving me diamensions and details off his boat. This is a small way of bringing him into the build.

Lovely looking boat. We have a trawler race in the Bay here every June. Perhaps you could join them. A little small but they might add a new category.😀😀
Well I would be up for it! I’m attending the Folkestone trawler race in August! Nervous that one of the flour bombs might damage her though!!!! Also going to a regatta at Dover in August.. apparently there aren’t many fishing boats there... I intend to change that!!
