They are of a very good quality mode!

What I did was I purchase the Happy Hunter along with the other items needed!
I purchase the Motors from Krick!
And the Bow Thruster!
Oh, And the Fittings Kit also!

Later, I will take a picture of the contents!

Cheers, Ed

Don’t ask Ed about nozzles. I think he ordered so many that he can no longer enter his apartment.😬😬
I cannot promise to finish one project before starting another. I know, I tried.

Hi Ed!
Did you have to buy the nozzles separately, or do they come with the hull kit?
The description of the kits is not very clear and I need a nozzle kit. Engines, helmet and propellers I have.
Thank you for your assistance and help in advance.
Best regards.👍

Hi Ed. Just move the fridge, tv, computer and bed near your workstation.. except for bathroom breaks and showers, you’d never have to leave the bench!! You could have her done in say, six months tops.😁
Have fun with her Ed!!

What are you building?

I started Najade yesterday by building the stand. I will improve the design later as there is no doubt that it will fall apart during the build due to weak joints. I will start a build log soon but don’t tell Martin as I told him that I would finish something before starting another.😁😁

Right now I’m not really building anything, but I am rebuilding. My SAR Herta Jeep had an..altercation earlier this year, my buddy JP and I had gotten very far out and close to one another with our boats..he was runnin his old Kitty II, me the SAR. Long story short we zigged when should have zagged and his boat ran up the side of mine, and pushed my superstructure completely off the magnets then into the water, where it sunk. Now, JP has the last new SAR kit sold in the US, as I checked the shop just minutes after he bought the kit and they were out, never to return. Sometime after that we had our little dance on the lake. JP is a good builder, but he doesn’t LIKE to build…so we made a deal. I’ll build a new superstructure for my old hull, get it ready for radio install, and I’ll get his kit…this was in addition to me trading him my Acapulco. I’m scratch building the new superstructure from plastic sheet, it will no have the bridge up top but I think it will look good once done. Then I have to xchoose between gettin the Grimmershorn back on the bench or starting the new SAR build….
Oh..I got my old Crackerbox back from a buddy, gonna see how she runs with an outrunner installed instead of a 27 turn stock motor..

Hi Peter. That Najade looks like a fun build, in the videos I’ve seen of her she handles power well, think you’ll have fun with her. I’m very glad that Krick has brought back a number of the old Robbe line, the Paula IV I just finished is a Krick (ROmarin) boat. Built up a little different from the original Paula I built last year, but it’s a nice kit and I’m pleased with it. Wish someone would bring back some of the old Graupner line like Krick done with Robbe. Anyhow, please start a build log so we can see how you get along with her, and how she builds up.

Hi Ed! Looking forward to to seeing the Happy Hunter build log. What accessories and or special features do you plan to add? The Hunter is a boat I’ve had my eye on for a very long time, unfortunately I have a ton of kits stashed now, so I just can’t seeing adding another to the pile…yet.
Let me know when you get started I’ll be watching with interest.

I have just purchased the Krick Najade motor yacht. It comes complete with rather a nice brushless motor.
MIR might buy the same model which I think will suit him as it is a reasonably straight forward model but has elements of difficulty thrown in for good measure. It would be his second boat so I think would be a good choice. His first turned out really well which Martin had a lot to do with.😀

What are you building?

I think everyone knows that my medical problems have made me very lethargic about finishing off the two boats I have under construction. We started to make up the keel for the barge a day or two ago, but ran out of resin, so no doubt that will be fitted shortly, the leeboards have to be fitted and a couple of minor jobs and if we don't spend too much time flitting around in the camper, she'll be up and running quite soon. The LST has had a little damage to the superstructure, something dropped on her, but apart from that, it's a question of making her look rusty and battle hardened. Then trials , for ballasting, in the upstairs test tank. As you may gather, Alice is lending a hand.
However, things are ever ongoing and I have purchased a nearly finished 44" sailing barge, built to racing standards and, I don't know what to call it, but a little kit that came from Ebay, (China), about 6" long complete with motor, TX, RX, cost less than £7 has two paddle wheels etc. I suppose it will best be described as a water bug, but pics and comments when I get round to building it.

Cheers, Nerys

Well I am still working on the Fletcher, but I also re-fitted the USS Jimmy Carter SSN-23 and she ran trials after a 6 year drying out period.

What are you building?

From the number of posts in Build Blogs and elsewhere, I'm estimating that we have heard of about upwards of two dozen boats being built by members. Our membership is over six thousand, so my guess is that the number of actual builds is probably a lot higher. So, if you are building a boat and haven't told us about her, or even not posted an update for some time. Please do so. If you can add a photo or two, all the better. This website depends on constant chit chat and what we are most interested in is boats, boats and lots more boats.
Even if your boat is only in the planning stage, then let's hear about her.

Happy posting,
Nerys
