Sorry to hear you've lost your companion, always sad to lose a pet, (lost my fantastic smart 13yr old part Russian Blue cat a few years back,- now under the Banksia tree ) Had to put him to sleep due to kidney failure. Always hard.

So sorry to hear of all your losses, Colin. We can all appreciate the fragility of life whether it is for your lovely Roxy or your relatives especially to have so much death in so short a time. What a nice thought to bury Roxy in a model boat.

I used a Bluenose hull lined with purple velvet as a casket to send along her peaceful path under the Yew tree in our garden.

My heart goes out to you. I feel sure that Roxy brought you great happiness during your time together. My wife and i have always had only four legged, furry woofers as children, for 33 years, and they always brought joy, love and happiness. The sadness of their loss is always so deep, but remembering the joy and time together has always tempered our sorrows. I hope it is able to do the same for you.

Those of you that have seen my avatar will know my best pal Roxy the Bearded Dragon .
She has been my armchair companion for 4 years.
Sadly today she passed away, apparently according to the vet, from cancer.
Couldn't have happened at a worse time for me as in the last 14 days have lost 2 relatives and another one in hospital.
Makes me realise how fragile life is.
Best wishes for many more modelling years for all our members.
