Have you thought of using 'peel off' letters from a craft shop, or on ebay Available in various sizes and styles, they have several alphabets to the sheet, (how many depends on size) and cost around £2 a sheet. I have used them successfully for a number of years but I advise varnishing over them once in place.

When the winds before the rain, soon you may make sail again, but when the rain's before the wind, tops'l sheets and halyards mind
I bought vinyl lettering from someone on ebay.
The ad "sort of" assumed it was a persons name, but I contacted them and they were willing to make any name in any reasonable size, shape or color. Price was very reasonable.

The sure way to succeed is, just try one more time
Hi , have not gone wrong so far with products from becc very good range of vinyl letters 2 to 25 mm high , if they cannot help in style or size you need a graphics company they do sign writing on van and boats . My local company did a super job of transom names for 1/12 scale Arun class lifeboat in gold with black shading was not cheap but it added that touch of realism to transom. The company is called TT graphics in Addlestone , surrey, and www.becc.co.uk , ps pays to ask if you do not see what you need in there advertising, maybe they have not thought about what you need.
