First post, and question

Thanks for the reply, and my model certainly fits within the Vosper style
and that was mentioned at my local club, however, by the time i got home had forgotten it !!

Ive modeled it loosely on an RAF Channel launch

It's a Vosper Sea Plane Tender.
Google Vosper Sea Plane Tender. There are a few variants but your model certainly fits the general details. In the 1950's we tended to do much scratch building and it is possible your Grandfather did just that. As you say it is not a scale representation but follows the general design and shape. There were several manufacturers around and some plans so unless you have further details it will be difficult to decide its provenance. It has certainly restored to a nice model and will draw attention when you sail. We have one in our club and I attach a pic for info.

There we go, Its 31.5 long, and a beam of 9"

I had looked at Veron, and Kielkraft kits from years ago, and found similar, but never exactly the same layout

Maybe one of you Guys will know

First post, and question

Hi to all,

Ive just repurposed a Motor launch, that my Grandfather made, we believe in the 1950's, Attached, should be a pic off the said boat, that was given to me around 1970 (Aged 10)
i did re vamp, around 30 years ago to get it looking smarter with the intention of water worthy, although that didn't progress much past some fresh paint

Well now, it is, and revamped into a style of RAF Coastal patrol boat, not to any scale representation, but more of a combination of many craft, from the 1940's era
its also fully rc, and maidened last week

I would like to know, what the kit or boat is, as ive done numerous search's, but nothing comes up that is the exact body style, with the 4 side windows

Regards
