Thanks for the replies with helpfully info, however I'm not too computer savy when delving into the programing fields.

Hi Nick
This tx only has two proportional channels but you can use it to provide another six switched channels using the buttons and switches on the tx. rolfman has provided a link to a u-tube channel showing this in operation. This tx is really designed for cars and trucks and whilst it can be used with several different models it is restricted in its use for model boats.

Here is a link to a YouTube channel showing how you can operate your GT3-C with up to 8 channels. If that's what you are after, then follow the links in the "about" section to see the what and how of it. I don't pretend to understand it all, but I know a couple of the guys at Worcester Model Boat Club ran these with this mod, and they seemed pretty happy with it.

Merry Christmas to you all.

Hi Nick,

Have you considered one of the multi output switcher modules? These can drive multiple switched outputs from a single R.C. channel. I have the nav lights, mast light and searchlight on my Crash Tender all separately switchable on one channel.

Component shop have both a 4 channel and an 8 channel version.
