Aeronaut's Yacht Bella

Hi Greg,

I know you will inevitably collect far more kits/plans\hulls and projects to build next (an occupational hazard for all model boat fanatics!!) However, please consider building at least the hull of the new Bella kit as soon as your Diva is completed.

Apart from the valuable building tips now received, this is because all Argonaunt marine models are built in much the same way. Thus the skills gained building the Diva can be used straightaway on the new and larger Bella project.

Hi Greg - you can download the instructions for both Bella and Bellissima- which is the larger model. There's plenty of forums/blogs based in Germany that record builders progress - most have a "translate" button.

I'd recently acquired via a friend from a person who had bought a Bella kit but it was never started. I've made start and you can have a look if its any help.

Hi,

Sussex models has one for £189 which is about £9 more than what Hobbies sold it for when in stock, and they are normally reasonably priced. Alternatively build the smaller version Bellissima.

Hi Greg,

I understand Aeronault kits are in intermittent short supply in the UK due to deliveries only coming in from the far East by the full container load.

Try the Gliders Model Shop of Newark who I know have a good stock of the Aeronault air and boat kits.

If you cannot find a Bella, please consider getting a plan for Vic Smeed's wonderful Starlet or smaller Starbaby model yacghts. I don't think you will regret it!

After recommendation by your good selves I went online to find the yacht Bella only to find that the kit is in short supply with many retailers out of stock. I contacted Aeronaut to see when suppliers would have new stock to be told that the Bella will not be available to sometime in February or possible March. As I don't want to wait that long does anyone know of a supplier who has stock that is reasonably priced. I say reasonably priced because there seems to be an often large price difference between those model shops that still have stock left.

Alternatively, can anyone recommend another manufacturers kit that is similar to the old style looking Bella?
