Alessandro, If you laughed a little for the other day's Question, wait while you read the possible answers to the 12th March one.😁😁
How many knots have you in the logbook ?? 😉🤔..

Hi SS yes you can answer missed questions. I shall be doing that myself Friday / Saturday as I shall be crossing so many time zones I do not know if I am coming or going! 11,000 miles from UK to Australia and 24 hours travelling via Singapore.
With trustee laptop and an Oz coloquial dictionary, doubled up on hearing aids and with 'best' walking stick and whistling to keep my spirits up. No, I am getting carried away, it is my 16th. trip!
Regards
Roy

Hi. Can someone tell me if having the Bronze subscription would allow me to go back and answer unanswered questions or at least see what they were? Also by paying for year upfront it looks like you get a 2 month discount. Is that correct?

O/K It's 7:29 Pm in Hamilton,Ontario, and you want me to answer the Question of the day in 30 minutes & 15 seconds. Now it's 28 minutes & 47 seconds I can't keep up with the time changing all the time. Sorry, have a great daylight saving time in England .(I'll be back) at 8.00 P M

This is a prime example of a minister making a mountain out of a molehill by not having all the facts.
Pontoppidan, a Danish minister wrote a book based on myths and his illustrations depict a giant squid or octopus Serving to foster this myth but this is typical of men of the cloth over the ages.

Garth,
According to the chart, you have missed answering the questions on Feb. 10th, 11th, and 21st.
You are a silver member, you should have the ability to go back and answer the ones you've missed.

So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.
I think the game questions are rigged went back to Feb 19 with my time machine & have not missed any questions. I'm 90% because of 3 unanswered,& from Feb 19 till March 6 have not missed any question.P/S I only do the question to stop e-mails telling me to answer the question.I Do Find the Question Educational also.

Agreed Ed, but if you have ever been out on the water when a flock of gannets starts feeding it is very spectacular, and even with no interest in ornithology, it kept the whole of our crew mesmerised for a good while.

Steve-S (and others),
I agree it is an oddly worded question.
I believe the key word in the question is "crossing". They are neither meeting nor traveling the same direction, but rather approaching each other at some angle. With that in mind, I understand the correct answer.

The question was very confusing 🤔🤔, as I thought at first that the vessels were heading towards each other not heading in a similar direction??🙄. But if that was the case with my first idea, then both vessels would see the other on their same side !!! So I went for the l-o-n-g-e-s-t answer to be on the safe side 😁😁.
I was going to go find a couple of paracetamol tablets after reading it loads of times 🤕🤕..

You're right, Ed and Pat, and if it was confusing to you, imagine what it was like for me.
In many conditions, answer B is correct, which strangely has a 0 percent chance.

Well once again I have been hit by the system thinking I didn't answer yesterdays question (26th). I most certainly did and got it right. It was the longest answer. Do I have to start taking screen shots again just to prove I answered it??? Can anyone check the back end logs?

I'm not a huge expert on sailboats, especially multi mast ships.
However A, C, & D were obviously wrong.
Got it right by process of elimination!

Seems a lot of the old timers are no longer bothering to answer - I wonder if this is because of the repeat questions or are people just getting fed up with the QoD ?

As of today, how many of the participants in today's question are still unaware of the existence and function of a bulbous bow?
AI is keen for this number to approach zero, hahaha.
It wants everyone to understand the concept.

We'd already talked about it, not in the AI question of the day, but when we asked the questions of the day.
The question posed was the difference between a great circle [ortodromia] and a rhumb line [lossodromia].
Then I think the AI also touched on the topic.
However, it's true that a route like the one described in today's question, on a map using the Mercator projection, might appear to be the longest route.

Ron,
I have made a donation. Answered D) Keel, and still had it counted wrong.
So, no, you are not being penalized for not making a donation.

Is it a problem with the adds to make a donation. Do you have to make a donation to have the correct answer be counted as correct. Maybe some of the advertising is corrupt and causing problems🤔

This website has a bug, is there a support person to look at the issue and fix it? 👎
I answered the question correctly as KEEL and it marked it as a wrong answer.

It highlights keel as the right answer, which I choose, but marked my score as wrong???AI should go back to school 🤣🤣
What is wrong with the game, did the correct answer and did not show tha I did the correct answer says that it was incorrect. Just asking for donations. Is this a scam or what. Love doing this game and looking what is on the forum. There are other forums out there, will give it until Monday and if not corrected I am done🤔

Hi Pat, I also put "Keel" as it is such a easy answer to anyone that builds model boats and I also have a red mark !!!!!😠😠😠.
The only thing that I did differently this time, was to have only just answered the 13th Feb question and then I reloaded the page again 10 minutes later for the new question-- but I got no confetti. That I couldn't understand. Then when I scrolled down the page and saw my red mark!!!!!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣☹️😭.
Such a easy one to get correct, and if I had got this wrong I think that I would go out and sink my keel-less boats 😁😁.
Strange because the Keel answer has 100% correct answers at this time ??? 12.29 am.

AI playing up again - answered today’s question- got it right - the confetti fell but the table at the bottom the number of incorrect answer went up by one !!!
