HI Exsnapper
Mine has a 1100kv motor, but is no longer available.
So recommend a Banggood Surpass Hobby C3542-1250kv with a brushless 60/80 Amp ESC. Both required to handle 2 to 4S Lipo batteries( 3000mah 60C) and a 2 blade 40mm prop. No water cooling required for the motor and if you use a car ESC general they have an electric fan for cooling.
Install to motor just forward of frame 4 and mount the battery cross ways in front of that.

Canabus, I have a new one to build, and hope that I can match your quality of workmanship. I'm also interested in your brushless combo as my previous Commander had the originally supplied 750 can motor and a 12v SLA battery. Im probably not going to build until early next year.
