Yes I’ve been to Plymouth in mid 60’s with Navy. Went on a day to Devon lovely place. Yes it’s a hike to the city. Too bad they would have taken you to dinner n backstage. The boys are in London now and this pic from window looks like nice park n pond. Wonder if anyone recognizes it. They are doing sound check. Paul at work? Thank you for shipbuilding n this site. Deciding on brushed or brushless fir Garcia. Esc can do brushed but another on way for brushless. Cheers

“If you can get to the London show”

Hhager.
Sorry,my offer is to post the magazine.
If you check out the practicality of my dropping off Magazines in Cardiff or London you will quickly understand it is just not a practical option from Sunny Devon 😂😂😂.
Regards
Bill.

If you can get to the london show ( band is just going on stage). They will be in London late tonight. So if you have a handful of mags that you want to rid of my home in Boston will welcome them. My grandson Luke is in crew n will lookout for any molders. My son Paul is doing sound n his brother is Josh2 on stage. If you get there before sound check they can get you in. If you wind up sitting with Paul rule 1 don’t talk to him or distract once show starts. Luke wants to see london n see hobby shops. He n his dad n uncle will too. Look on Google at schedule DEVO. I just got my smoke unit fir creole queens n Esc fir Garcia today.

Hi Roger, we have a 'looking for a good home' table at our club evenings and magazines are difficult to move on. I guess space is the problem.
We also get offered small archives of magazines usually boat or rail oriented and accept them if close to our exhibition in September and shift them there.

I wonder how much longer magazines will be published with paper editions? The only thing that puts me off a digital subscription is that I do enjoy looking at the free plans.

That’s a great idea Bill, I have a similar problem.
I like to read the paper copy of the magazine, but I store them with the electronic subscription. In the past I have taken my copies to the international model boat show and put them at the RNLI stand so people can take them for a donation.
Unfortunately the show no longer takes place.

I do have most of them and I like to just choose a year and go through them noting the bits I may have missed as your interests change. I thought about having digital editions but it would not suit me.

Nice idea though, passing them on. Just not willing to part with mine.

Heartily agree Doogle🤔
I've had a digital subscription for several years, since I moved to Munich.
But to be honest I'm seriously thinking of cancelling it.
Apart from the occasional 'Plastic Magic' contribution, e.g. from Tony Dalton, not a lot had particularly inspired me. In contrast to this site and the many and varied contributions.😊
Cheers, Doug 😎
Young at heart 😉 Slightly older in other places.😊 Cheers Doug

What a great idea Bill. I did subscribe to the magazine for a while as well as N gauge model railway magazine. As you say, what do you do with them when you're done reading. I try unsuccessfully not to indulge too much now as I want to then build another boat and I'm running out of room 🙃.
What I do find is that there's so much information on this site and everyone is happy to offer expertise and encouragement. Thanks everyone ☺️

Dear All.
Many of you like myself take the above Model Boats Magazine each month.
I read it from cover to cover as does one of my elder Grandsons.

Once we have finished with them the problem is what to do with them as I hate throwing them out.
I know that there are many of our members who for various reasons are unable to entertain this magazine each month.

I would therefore like to offer the magazine free each month once I have finished with it to anyone who would like it.

I am happy to post it free 2nd class to any UK address(sorry to those outside the UK
Nothing personal just the cost of posting abroad)

My terms would be(which I know are not enforceable but I would rely on honesty)
You don’t give up your subscription if you have one,to get a freebie.
You don’t sell it on to make a profit.
You accept that there may be some that I wish to keep.
It would be good to think that you post articles on our site and are active here.

We are a smoke free environment.
We do have a cat,but it can’t read!
The magazine will be clean.

If anyone is interested please send me a PM (no address at this stage)
IF there is multiple interest then I will put all the names in a hat and draw a name which I think is a good fair solution.

Closing date for PM’s will be Thursday 24th August.

Regards
Bill.
Never give up.It will come right in the end.
