I think I would go for an out runner of about 300watts, on 2 cell lipo this would give just over 40 amps, so maybe a water cooled esc of about 60 amps.
Just my thoughts.

Hi

I have just started building a small cabin cruiser 15ins long from plans they reccomend the MabuchI RE-280 motor. I would like to replace It with a brushless motor. Can anyonr reccomend a suitable replacement. I have experience In model aircraft but this Is my first boat.
