Robbe Dusseldorf fire Boat
HI "Bootneck".
If you need any photo's of mine to help you with your build, feel free to contact me directly, but if you also check this sites "boat build blog", you will find mine on here anyway. Spares are available either via the robbe schluter Importer in Leicestershire, or if you contact robbe in germany direct, they are only too willing to help or assist Ive found. but its great to actually hear from someone with similar boat.
Ive only had mine [secondhand] 2 weeks, had to do a few jobs to sort a few problems out, its now powered up using a 2.4 ghz futaba radio, and fingers crossed going for tis first sea trials on saturday [weather permitting], then once I can get the battery position right for ballast/balance, I'll then mount the water pumps to suit, as removed for now, till I get the hull level in the water.
the original setup left the battery well forward and all the electrics midships. Ive now mounted the electronic motor controllers vertically either side of the battery compartmant, to make more room on some blocks of balsa, so easily accessible.
but, enough for now, please feel free to get back in touch, but offer of any info I have Im only too willing to share.
I also have some info off some german model boat sites which is interesting, as well as photos. helsp with the build and authenticity and even adds a stern guide vane to prevent wash over the rear deck on full throttle!
Best wishes.
